Conceived by the famous architect Carlo Maciachini, the construction of the Cemetery Monumentale was realized in the inclusive years between 1863 and 1866 in the area of Door it Turns.
Currently the Cemetery Monumentale in Milan preserves works of art, monuments, statues and chapels of important sculptors and architects of the past among which we can remember Luca Beltrami, Mosé Bianchi, Pietro Cascella, Giacomo Manzù, Francesco Messina, Medardo Rosso, Vincenzo Vela, Ettore Ximenes, Adolfo Wildt.
